[users@httpd] APACHE breaks both Downloads and Uploads
Dear group.
Having problems with APACHE, Breaking both Downloads and Uploads randomly.
Any ideas what it could be and how to solve it.
During upload, apache sends a RST to the client, thus resetting the
connection.
During Download, I receive a FIN, effectivly terminating the download.
Files are quite large, between 50 and 200MB.
There is no set size when it stops, it looks like it happens randomly.
With best regards

Yes I'm hosted on a commercial Web-hotel.
AFAIK, there is no limits on up and download, not according their support
anyway.
The download-problem just started a few weeks ago, so something must have
hapened.
Unfortunatly, support is support i.e they don't know anything, and since
no-one else is having this problem, teey say.....

Are your site hosted on a commercial Web Hotel.
Then the server admin might have put in a limit on the size of
uploads and downloads.

Is the PHP max_execution_time set too short?

Some more info.
Downloading a file that is around 110MB large.
After the server has sent 1792344 bytes, the last packet from the server has
the flags FIN ACK and PUSH set.
This obviously terminates the transmission.
Just some thoughts, the file is served from a php-script, could it be
possible that the script, one way or another fails to read the whole file
from disk, so apache doesn't see the whole file?

Well, it's difficult to find out what information is usefull.
But I doubt that it is on the client side, since I have reports from a
number of users encountering this problem.
It does not matter what browser is used nor the OS on the users boxes.
The problem still is that the server stopps sending data after a while.
Now I dont have access to any logs, unfortunatly.

You've given almost no useful information here. But the chances of
this being a problem with your HTTP server are rather low. Start by
checking your networking equipment and configuration.
