Latest changes in 1.6dev and 1.5 branch

Hi Cactus developers,

Just a note to tell you that I still need to merge the changes I have
just committed in order to make the WL 7.x integration work in the 1.5
branch. I'm currently on a 56k modem which keeps hanging up and I'll
delay the merge for 3-4 days when I'm back home from my holidays.
