[users@httpd] ispell blocking apache
Not sure if this is the right list to post to but just had a very
mysterious problem of the ispell spelling checker program blocking
apache from connecting to port 80.
lsof shows:
tg6 apache2 # lsof -i :80
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE NODE NAME
ispell 3581 apache 4u IPv4 1146680251 TCP *:http (LISTEN)
Killing that process allowed apache to start.
Any ideas what on earth was happening there?
