There have been a bunch of requests for including the date in @version

@version $Revision$ $Date$

Most people who've ventured an opinion want the date in there; IMHO I 
think it's unnecessary, but since I'm the only one who would have 
suggested not including the date I'm out-peopled :-)

In the absence of an official voting system, I've trundled through the 
lists and found (approx) 5+ with the initial suggestion only really 
being the one to vote for w/o a date.

I'll change the wiki page to reflect the @version $Revision$ $Date$ 
since the people have spoken :-)
