I have the same problem. If I scan a discarted message on commandline 
everything works fine.

I found the option '--max-conn-per-child' seems to solve (or at least prevent) 
spamd to leave the message untouched. 

Also after a test with 100+ spam mails at once and it seems that for every 
spamd child (default conn-per-child 200) the last message scanned during the 
SIGCHLD is discarded (and not spamd'd).
