OpenSearchServer Output Connector questions
Hi guys,
one of our customers is trying to use ManifoldCF in different ways and they
are trying to use the OpenSearchServer connector without success.
They are using a newer version of OpenSearchServer (1.5.x) so probably our
connector can't work with this version.
Looking at the code it seems that this connector only supports the
ingestion of binaries without considering metadata and properties, is it
right?
And if yes, why we don't support metadata?
Please let me know.

Definitely. I will work on the support for metadata, as well as integrating the missing tests.
I plan to provide a patch probably between this evening and tomorrow.

The legacy API are still available in 1.5.x, but it is possible that some minor changes break the compatibility.

Hi Piergiorgio,
The OpenSearchServer connector was contributed by Emmanuel Keller, who is
(I believe) one of the founders of OpenSearchServer. The contribution was
made many years ago, and there were no tests contributed at the same time.
In short, it is no doubt badly out of date, but I have no doubt it worked
at one point. If your customer wishes to work with us collaboratively to
bring it more up to date (and get it working with metadata too), we'd be
willing to do this. Just open a ticket, and I can create a branch if
needed.
