Amortization on Fineract 1.7.1

Hi guys,

After submitting an edited loan product the following error appears

field is required

The parameter `fixedPrincipalPercentagePerInstallment` has been passed and
is not supported for this request

Changing amortization and entering a figure for % per Principal instalment
have not worked. How is this field supposed to be handled? Is it a bug or
something we're not doing right on our part?

New loans are not affected it seems. Only edited loans.

Please advise.

Regards,

Sifiso

Thanks. I think you just did:

“ And while we are talking about it... maybe we should make clear to
everyone that no manual tagging should happen upstream.”

I have put comments in the related jira ticket to clarify this.

I’ll await you and Manoj getting on the same page. We do need the patch
release process working so appreciate you both working towards clarity.

clean this up anyway before the proposed hotfix release happens. Having
also a conversation with Manoj to get his environment up for doing proper
releases.

And while we are talking about it... maybe we should make clear to everyone
that no manual tagging should happen upstream.

Thanks Aleks

Can we trim that branch to prevent further confusion ?

Just FYI: there is no version 1.7.1... the tag you used in Github is wrong,
we have to remove it... valid versions:
1.8.0 (latest)
1.7.0
1.6.0
1.5.0

... that tag (1.7.1) contains nothing you should use... and by consequence
any issues you might have are probably already solved.

Cheers,

Aleks

Hi @sifiso

Maybe you may consider creating a GitHub issue on this issue. Provides some
screenshots or Java logs that can help us to help you resolve the issue.

Let me know what you think and if we can help in any way.

Regards,
Willie.
