jetty component

Hi all,

while taking a look at the framework component, I found the jetty
server. As it is always commented, what is the point in keeping it ?

Also, is there someone using it or not ?

Cheers,

The idea is that some outside there may use it, so we keep it
We can't be sure that those persons are reading the dev ML, but they may still rely on Jetty

Yeah I was a bit harsh on this one... sorry for that. Anyway, as you
said, performance tests would be useful, "just to know".
Also, are you still using the embedded jetty 6, or have you migrated to
the 7 ? this would be a great addition :)

Cheers,

Yes, I use it. I believe the only thing missing from the implementation in
the official codebase is persistent session support, which could be added.

Why remove it? If nothing else, it would nice to be able to run performance
tests against the two if you suspect that one (or ofbiz's interaction with
one) is underperforming.
