svn checkout takes forever

Hi,

I trying to do a clean checkout of Stanbol since a hard drive failure ate my workspace.

It takes hours (from two different computers on two different networks, i.e. one at home and one at Nuxeo), and eventually fails (at the same point):

A stanbol/commons/solr/managed/src/main/java/org/apache/stanbol/commons/solr/managed/impl/ManagementUtils.java
svn: REPORT of '/repos/asf/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read chunk size: connection was closed by server (http://svn.apache.org)

Is there something fishy with the Apache servers ? Time to switch to GitHub ?

Cheers,

  S.

According to https://twitter.com/#!/infrabot where the ASF infra team
speaks, there were some issues with svn.apache.org yesterday.

http://monitoring.apache.org/ usually has real-time information (but
no history) about such outages.

We had also problems with svn up on the dev.iks-project.eu server today. But after some - very long 90min - a new clean svn checkout succeeded.

At the same time I had also troubles to open http://svn.apache.org/ in the browser.

Now everything looks fine. A new svn co in less than 1min

best
