for windows testing( for non-web applications)

hi 
i'm completely new to testing job ....and my manager has told me to identify
windows tool (non-web application) 
so for tht reason plz help me and tell me ur valuable  suggestions ie 
does apache camel test windows applications ,builds,ie non web applications
