[Axis2] Proposal: Selective deployment/undeployment/update of services

Hi,

Another thing that is good to have in the Axis2 deployment is the
ability to selectively deploy / undeploy services which are contained
in an archive that has a ServiceGroup containing other services as
well. We wouldn't want to re-deploy the whole archive's contents, but
only select specific services for deployment/undeployment.

This can also be hooked up to the remote (and also programmatic)
deployment mechanism which I have offered in another proposal.

Thanks for your feedback.

Best Regards,
Angel

Hi Sanjiva,

Yep, I agree. It would be some nice functionality.

At the core level this is trivial .. just snip a branch in the
AxisServiceGroup tree (or add one). If you were adding a deployer
service (per my previous response to you) then it'd be trivial to add
another operation to that service to do this.
