Major Upgrade vs. Minor Upgrade

I have a question about upgrading svn? I recently upgraded from 1.05
to 1.06 because of the security issue in 1.05. I read somewhere that
the repository should be reimported into the new subversion, but only
on major upgrades. Is there somewhere where this information is
posted? I don't want to upgrade sometime and find my repository
hosed.

Thanks,
Curtis

Now that 1.0 is released, it's pretty easy to know when you need to
dump/load upon upgrading: you only need to do it when the number to the left
of the period changes. The Subversion project now lives by the rule "if a
dump/load is needed, we will bump the major version number".

Also explained in the 1.1 release notes:

These are documented in the project's version compatibility rules.

I think you can read about them at
http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/HACKING in the section "Release
numbering, compatibility, and deprecation".

bye,

Erik.
