Simple Links
I've committed a number of changes that implement a modified approach to
handling simple links. In the course of trying to handle alignments, it became
obvious that the first approach - groups of Rectangles associated with a
page -
could not easily be modified to handle alignments. So at present the LinkSet
objects, rather than maintaining a Vector of Rectangles, actually maintain a
Vector of LinkedRectangles. These latter are objects that store not only
Rectangle information but also the LineArea that they are associated with.
This
is by far the easiest way to maintain access to alignment data.
Preliminary testing indicates that simple links ought to be OK for all
alignments (default, centered and end) except "justify", which is a challenge.
:-)
Also, and Fotis demonstrated this some time back, correct vertical positioning
of links is not maintained if previous blocks on a page use padding. I need to
figure out some mechanism for storing these adjustments that isn't too ugly,
so this particular problem has now been located but not yet fixed. In
the meantime avoid using links with padding.
Once James comes out with a new layout scheme I'll likely implement a
different
method of handling linking. The current approach is still too unwieldy. I
have some pretty good ideas but just don't want to overlay them on top of
existing stuff.
Links are now invisible. If you want visual indication of links use properties
(traits?) of <fo:simple-link>s.
I hope to have mods made to handle padding and so forth within a few weeks.
