Index AutoCAD files
Hi team,
Is there a way lucene.Net can index AutoCAD files – “*.dwg” files?
If so, please let me know.
Can you please provide some insight on the same?
Thanks in advance..

result how do I link it to the actual AutoCAD file that had the text?
Sorry for such silly doubts. I am very new to lucene.net.

Lucene doesn't actually do any text extraction you have to provide it the text that you want indexed.
I've done an overview of what Lucene is and isn't on my website - http://www.aaron-powell.com/lucene-net-overview

I think there is a IFilter for DWGs - so you need to use the ifilter
to get the text, then pass it into lucene to index it - it's 2 steps,
lucene doesn't do the ifilter part.

If you can extract text from them, then it shouldn't be a problem.
Lucene doesn't do the job of extracting the text. For that you'd have to find something else.
