I'm a newbie with font types and I have the same issue with a PDCIDFontType0 (this bug fix is for PDCIDFontType2). Should I open a new issue?. I have locally changed the code for PDCIDFontType0 and now it seems to be working (I'm not really sure if this is a PDFBox issue or a problem with my pdf/fonts).
