Running tomcat under secured socket layer

Hi All,

Has anyone been successful in making the tomcat run under secured socket
layer. I followed all the instructions mentioned in the document 'SSL
Cnfiguration HOW-TO' in 'www.jakarta.apache.org'. I am trying to connect
through port 8443. I tried changing the port but no luck. I am having
trouble in stopping the tomcat service too.

Please share if you have any ideas

Well i have no ideas, to help you straight away, but I think if you supply
more information, others, who have setup tomcat with ssl can help you.

1) What tomcat version are you using ?
2) What did you setup, and where do things fail ?
   - What does the log-file tell you about it ?


3) What kind of troube do you have, when shutting down tomcat ?
   - does the jvm core dump ?
   - it does not shut down ?
