apr-util memcache release

Hi. I'm looking into using memcache from Subversion, and I noticed
that apr-util trunk contains an interface to memcached (which seems to
be ported from the old apr_memcache project).

Is this likely to ever be released in the 0.9 and/or 1.2 branches? If
not, is apr-util 1.3 actively under development? I'm just trying to
figure out if it makes more sense to make my code depend on apr-util
of the future, or the unsupported apr_memcache library?

Not likely, because versioning rules forbid that:

Yes and it will be released eventually as either 1.3 or 2.0. If 2.0, the
API you see now in trunk may change.
