Newbie can't run JSP from own directory.

Hello,

I know you have heard this before, but I am having trouble running JSP's 
from my own JSP directory. They work just fine from the 
/var/tomcat4/webapps/examples/jsp directory, but when I try to access 
my own webapps/jsp directory I keep getting "resource unavailable" 
messages.

I am using Tomcat 4 v. 4.0.3 with mod_webapp.so and Apache 1.3.23. I 
have taken pains to modify catalina.policy, httpd.conf, and server.xml, 
so that my directory looks just the same, with all the same access 
permissions, and my directory tree inside my own "jsp" directory looks 
as mich like webapps/examples/jsp as I can make it. I have to admit, I 
really don't know what to do with the web.xml file regarding JSP's. I 
naver had to change that to get my JSP's to run from the 
"webapps/examples/jsp" directory.

I am using RedHat Linux 7.3. Tomcat seems to be working pretty well 
otherwise.

Can anyone clue me in on what I might be missing, or point me toward a 
good configuration example? PLEASE?? I would greatly appreciate it.
