error in bash.xsl

I'm getting this error:

XSL Error: pattern = 'translate($cvsdir,'\','/')'
VariableReference given for variable out of context or without definition!
Name = cvsdir, source tree node: workspace
XPATH: pattern = 'translate($cvsdir,'\','/')'
VariableReference given for variable out of context or without definition!
Name = cvsdir
Xalan: was not successful.


when running gen.sh after updating to the latest bash.xsl.
