Instance template empty

Hi,

I've a single node cloudstack and want to launch an instance, but the
instance template(s) are empty. How do I populate these?

Regards,
Jon

The 'host' parameter is correct.

Hi,

Please check the "host" parameter in your global settings. It should point
to the correct management server address.

I had not logged in to SSVM as it did not exist. There was a problem
during CS initial setup that caused the Zone to disable itself. I
enabled the Zone and slowly it's all come to life!

I am now able to create instances :)

Many thanks to all how assistanted.

Just noticed the line below. To confirm - you have ssh'ed into the SSVM
using the link local IP before running the health check? Generally the
SSVM will have a hostname like s-1-VM etc.

I should say, at the moment I'm trialing the mamangement, DB, and
storage all on 1 node.

Yes.

No running ssvm is found, so command will be sent to LocalHostEndPoint

/usr/local/cloud/systemvm/ssvm-check.sh was not available on my server.
I found the script here

1. Does your SSVM launch successfully? e.g does it turn up green in
cloudstack?
2. What does your management server log say?
3. Please take a look at this link

I've worked out this is likely to be something to do with misconfigured
Secondary storage.

I have created a secondary storage, and have run the seeding command,
and it mounts manually. But, whatever is wrong, CloudStack will not
mount / use it.

There are templates present in the Template tab, but as above, when
creating instances there are no templates to choose from.

My first attempt was using the quick guide based on CentOS, I've just
rebuilt the server on Ubuntu, and still exactly the same problem.

What's not right here?

Jon
