I missed what was important about this page and messed up publishing the 1.9.0 site :( Maybe make note of a couple of important points?

E.g. Do not link to dist.apache.org, make sure the link uses the "closer" utility.

An argument could be made to not include any details so people are more inclined to go through the entire doc, but it may be helpful if you ran into similar issues when you managed 1.8.
