In either 4.1.1 Writer or calc, when trying to 'open documents of same type'
error message is Basic runtime error
an exception occurred
type: com.star.container.NoSuchElementException

Please read the previous comment: this error means that OpenOffice cannot
understand a macro.
You must answer to Regina's questions if you want some help.
Please report back the outcome of your testing, so this Issue may be closed or
progressed as necessary - otherwise the issue may be Resolved as Invalid in the
future.

Do you have installed an extension? There is no 'open documents of same type'
in my version of 4.1.1. and there is no macro involved when opening a document.
Please describe exactly how do you do 'open documents of same type'.
If a macro is involved, it it likely an error in the script. In such case the
macro itself is needed to investigate.

It is the extension "History Master" from
http://extensions.openoffice.org/de/project/history-master or
http://bernard.marcelly.perso.sfr.fr/HM/index2.html
You should uninstall and reinstall the extension. The extensions works for me
with AOO4.1.1 on Windows7. Please use the user mailing-list or a forum to get
help for installing extensions. For problems inside the extension write a mail
to its author.

menu where error originates
Under the File tab, I select the option 'recent documents of teh same type' and
get error message as seen in error_2 jpg
