[Issue 126055] New: MS Word dialogue box opens when I open a doc in
OO
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126055
Issue ID: 126055
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: MS Word dialogue box opens when I open a doc in OO
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.0
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 8
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P3
Component: open-import
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: sylvae23@gmail.com
Version 4.1.1
Operating system Win 8 (Not 8.1)
I have searched around the site and haven't seen this one before - apologies if
it is duplicated. It's a minor issue but is really driving me mad.
I have both MS Office and OO installed on one of my computers (reason? I have
another computer at a different place where I use OO exclusively) and when I
open a document in OO, a dialogue box opens up with the phrase
You cannot close Miscrosoft Word because a dialogue box is open. Click OK and
then close the dialogue box.
And another saying
Word has encountered a problem.
I suspect this is something to do with not making OO the default for all text
documents, which I really don;t want to do right now. Does anyone have an
explanation/fix? Many thanks.
Sy.

This is a MS problem and not an AOO issue.
