The Apache XML Graphics Project hopes to include our web site documentation with SOURCE & BINARY distributions.

BACKGROUND
===========
Before we migrated to the ASF-CMS, we used Apache Forrest, which, among other things, allowed us to include an offline version of website documentation with our build. Migrating to the ASF CMS involved converting all documentation to Markdown. As this is no longer possible

We would like to have a method of creating an OFFLINE version of the web site documentation (including images, stylesheets, javascript, etc.).

Although individual pages would suffice, ideally the solution would be able to optionally generate a whole-site HTML and/or PDF similar to Forrest's 'whole-site' HTML and PDF capability described in this section:

http://forrest.apache.org/docs_0_90/your-project.html#sitemap.xmap

I noticed that the 'Add local mode option to CMS' JIRA Issue might have offer some help:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4387

Any ideas on how we might be able to make this happen would be appreciated!

Thanks!

The Apache XML Graphics Project Team
