In order you can commit yourself your changes, you have to become a
"committer".

This promo is decided by "Apache doc High Direction", and perhaps Tony
Stevenson could answer better than I to your question.

Hello,

Welcome to you.

One tip : if you plan to keep on translating httpd doc other next years,
I recommand you to begin translating trunk branch xml files, then
porting your translation to 2.4 branch by making a "diff" between trunk
and 2.4 xml english files , then reporting differences to your 2.4 file
(not so hard work because there are still not so much differences
between these two branches).

So, when next httpd major version will be released, trunk branch will be
renamed to 2.6 , and at this moment, you'll have nothing else to do
(except keep on updating your translations :-) ).

If you only translate 2.4 branch instead, when next httpd major version
will be released, you'll have to translate again 2.6 new branch xml files.

Feel free to ask for information if you need help about your translation
project management.

Lucien

Re: (translation of index.es)

Hi again,

If you submit files, please specify, which branch they are for (trunk, 2.4
or 2.2).
Also, for translations only the xml file is really needed as the rest is
generated.

Then your xml file is missing the translation info, like this (picked from a
french file, look, for example in index.xml.fr):

<!-- French translation : Lucien GENTIS -->
<!-- Reviewed by : Vincent Deffontaines -->
<!-- English Revision : 1524238 -->

The first two lines are optional; the last line however should be there. It
specifies the revision number of the LastChangedRevision line of the
English file at the time of translating it.
The build process modifies this line whenever the English original changes
and that way keeps track of what needs to be changed in the translations.
The LastChangedRevision line is only needed for the English originals.

Furthermore, if you can find a reviewer, that would be fine. If not, well,
nothing we can do about it right now. I think, we loosened the requirement
some time ago, so when you fix your submission, we can certainly commit it.

Thanks!
