[jira] Updated: (HADOOP-274) The new logging framework puts
application logs into server directory in hadoop.log
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-274?page=all ]
Owen O'Malley updated HADOOP-274:
---------------------------------
Attachment: application-log-to-stdout.patch
Ok, this patch comes pretty close.
I've made applications log to stdout and simplified their log format.
The servers still log to their respective files.

> The new logging infrastructure puts application logs into the server log directory under hadoop.log. I think it would be less confusing to use the old behavior of writing out to stderr (for applications).
