Once we bump the version to Hadoop 2.8 or Hadoop 3.0 we should revisit this after HADOOP-11894 got committed. For now I think the fix is ok for practical purposes of the test.

> Test compilation fails if you use htrace-3.2.0 because Span.ROOT_SPAN_ID is removed. It is used in TestHTraceHooks and should be should be replaced  on the next bumping of htrace version. This is not problem as far as htrace-3.1.0 is used.
