[jira] [Resolved] (OWB-254) suppress initialising contextual handling for configurable URIs.

Mark Struberg resolved OWB-254.
-------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

This is not really needed anymore since we moved the most performance intense tasks to work via lazy initialisation. Thus when no CDI bean gets accessed in a request (e.g. a resource request) this will cause almost no overhead anymore.

> suppress initialising contextual handling for configurable URIs.

> In my real world application, I see a lot useless construction and destruction of Contexts since my JSF application also handles resources like small images and CSS.
> We should think about introducing a blacklist of URIs/URI wildcards which do not contain contextual beans to be managed.
> In a typical JSF-2 application this are e.g. all requests handled via the #{resources} handler, thus contextRoot()/javax.faces.resource/*
