Playback of "Start recording test" 5 second video does not work
Hi,
Testing revision 1347122 I find that the automatic playback of the 5
second "Start recording test" video is still not working. After running
the 5 second "Start recording test", and selecting the "Play" button,
there is no video or audio.
Is this a known current issue?
Do others also have this issue?
Thanks,
George Kirkham

can you send me OM log (./red5-debug.sh output) since you press "start
recording" and right after you press "Play"?
I'm afraid I can't help with your ffmpeg problem without debugger :(
If it is possible you can open port 8787 and start ./red5-debug.sh and let
me know (in this case I can connect to your OM using debugger and tell you
excatly what is wrong)

Maxium,
I have built many revisions, downloaded the nightly build, and have three servers, but still it does not play back for me. I see video and the voice level-meter moving as I talk while recording, just no automatic play back and pressing the play button does not work. I have tried different video resolutions, and different PCs. And I even run three OpenMeetings servers, prod, build and prod/test.
Recording the screen and playing back works well.
Though I do have an issue on one server, on this server the path for ffmpeg is /usr/bin but when I try to play back a recording ffmpeg is being accesses from /usr/local/bin, I don’t understand why? I did have the path wrong once, but I corrected it, and even rebooted the server, and the setting is now correct, but still when trying to play the file it has the wrong path for ffmpeg?
I will be away for four days and then will do further testing. Thanks for your assistance.
Thanks,
George Kirkham

Just tested on my machine
(Windows 7 x64)
Recording test works (writes the file, then plays it)
The only situations I know the recording test does not work are:
1) there is no camera in the system
2) there is no mic
3) Available resolutions were not loaded (somehow this happens on my machine currently in the debug version if the client)
