mod-jk2/tomcat4.1.18/apache2.045 problems

hello.
i had configured a couple of tomcat instances for load balancing
and it worked a couple of days on a winnt machine. subsequently,
apache crashed and when i restarted the machine, mod-jk2 does not
work. the workers2 and conf files are all the same. i was using a
workers file i had for mod_jk. tried reinstalls and starting over.
did not work. i can of course see the browser and tomcat
separately on browsers. error i saw in the log is:

[Mon May 12 12:02:11 2003] [error] env.createBean2(): Error
getting factory for [ps] (null)
[Mon May 12 12:02:11 2003] [error] config.update(): Can't create
ps
[Mon May 12 12:02:11 2003] [error] env.createBean2(): Error
getting factory for [worker.list] (null)
[Mon May 12 12:02:11 2003] [error] config.update(): Can't create
worker.list
[Mon May 12 12:02:11 2003] [error] env.createBean2(): Error
getting factory for [worker.tomcat1.port] (null)
[Mon May 12 12:02:11 2003] [error] config.update(): Can't create
