moving www.apache.org to a higher bandwidth server...

I have the opportunity to conduct a test drive with a potentially
high-bandwidth hosting provider called Internap. Since people have complained
about access times to www.apache.org, I believe it would make a good test case.
I would set it up as a mirror of the doc tree on hyperreal, with an update
script anyone editing docs could run, or maybe just do something smart with the
proxy module, I dunno yet. This would be for both FTP and HTTP. So, I have
two questions:

  1) Anyone think this is a good or bad idea? Anyone mind if this takes place?
I'll take responsibility for installation and maintenance. Responses via
private mail please, I'll post a summary.

  2) Could folks do a traceroute to www.internap.com, and a ping for 10
seconds, and send me the output via private mail? Their claim to fame is
that they have individual T3's to all major backbone providers, as well
as t1's to the minor ones, and I'd like to verify that to some degree.

Thanks.

	Brian

Oh yeah - if folks could also do a traceroute/ping in the middle of the day
(say noon PST), when internet traffic is at its highest and when I think a
service like this would be most desired, that would be tres bien. Thanks!
