PDF font rendering issue in server mode

Hi,
 I have an issue with soffice.bin not rendering asian fonts in a
document when I'm running soffice.bin in server mode, on ubuntu 10.04
server.

On my 10.04 desktop, the soffice.bin server renders the PDF fonts
correctly.

Any tips what is happening here? It used to work a few versions ago (not
in 3.3 or 3.2)
