What happened to the permalinks?

Hi!

First, let me say everyone loves Pony Mail.

Last week or so, I was able to get permalinks like

https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/Z1hwgmearzkngee


These are great for vote emails.


But now I can't find out how I got that link, because if I click
"Permalink" now I get the horrible line twister:

This is a plea to bring back the nice short permalinks! :)
