INFRA-6468: directory created, needs to populate release/sis
Hello all
According INFRA-6468 [1], We need to populate the following directory
with previous releases:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/sis
Maybe someone familiar with the Pubsub system could do a better work
than I could. Is there any volunter for this task?

Cool, I will submit a candidate tomorrow then, and will let you know if
I hit any issue. Thanks!

Hi Martin,
I would say, its ready to be used. The release area is a different story where they need to setup automatic mirror publishing. By the time we finishing voting in, INFRA might wrap that setup. So yes, lets proceed with the vote. I am available and will be happy to help as needed with the release process.

Thanks Suresh. Is https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/sis/ ready for
use, or do we need to wait for a last step to be completed by the infra
team?

I checked in the 0.2-incubating release to sis dist location. I could not find the corresponding MD5 and SHA files. Can any one who had the pointers please checkin them in as well.
Note that after Gavin finishes the setup, these artifacts will be picked up by mirrors world wide. So we need to ensure we are always only keeping the latest release in this location. As soon as this location is populated, it will also get archived, the archive will be persisted for ever, even after we delete the release dist location. Once setup, the archive will appear at - http://archive.apache.org/dist/sis

Hey Martin,
Pretty easy -- we basically just check in the tar ball for the source
code/release, and the ASC file/MD5 and SHA file into that directory.
That's an SVN directory and then it is pub-subbed to all the mirrors
throughout the world, mirroring the result.
However, we only do that *after* the VOTE is passed. In the interim,
we can check in the RC To be VOTE'd on here:
