I created ace-features modules. The ACE features descriptor URL is:
mvn:org.apache.ace/apache-ace/0.8.0-incubator/xml/features
The first import has been performed: revision 1103761.
The structure is there, I keep on work on it.

Agree Marcel, the features descriptor is a kind of distribution. I committed the support of config files via the features (revision 1162825). I'm gonna refactore it to be handle by the main assembly.

These features will probably be subsets of the total assemblies we use now for these different targets. We can leave out Pax Runner that currently bootstraps a target and loose the existing shell. Other than that, it's probably straightforward to come up with these features. Do we want to create a new module 'ace-karaf' as a home for these descriptors?
