Develop custom portal like jetexpress with custom interface.

Hi,

I have tried to implement jetexprees portal using following tutorial.

http://portals.apache.org/tutorials/jetspeed-2/

Now I want to develop custom portal with custom interface like jetexpress.

Please suggest steps.

To deploy jetexpress portal, I have run mvn -P tomcat,min command and it
deploy jetexpress portal with j2-admin portal.

Is it possible to deploy jetexpress portal without j2-admin portal?

Please help me. I am new in jetspeed.
