[~prabeeshk] Could you please take a crack at this. This is important because other it is being impossible for us to maintain the MQTT functionalities while MQTT guys are pulling down older version 0.4.0 (that we currently depend on). We cannot upgrade to 1.0+ until we have a unit test that actually tests whether the stream works.
