[RELEASES] Preparing for 18-rc3
Hi,
We don't have much in delivery for 18-rc3 yet, and are still waiting
on #5842 to be ready for merging.
Should we hold off rc3 for a few days, or even until the beginning of
next week, to see if anything else comes up? Hopefully then can be
the last rc, and we can move to vote in week of 15th?

It was already merged before we synced to release180 for the rc3 build.
Let's try not to cherry pick from master too often! :-) This one
isn't conflicting, but will end up in master history twice once the
sync to master PR is merged.

Sync PR to release branch merged. Delivery now closed until we sync
to master, although hopefully this will be our last rc anyway.

So, no comment from Martin on that, but Svata's update PR is merged -

I'm going to let all the branch and sync tests run before merging the
other pending PRs.
All being well, should be able to trigger rc3 to be available tomorrow.

Well, https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/5842 was merged and we
have consistent test failures in delivery since. A few other tests
also seem to have become unstable - things that were routinely passing
in merges to delivery prior are sometimes failing. It's hard to be
sure whether they're definitely related.
Choice of labels was obviously not correct on there - should have had
ci:all-tests which I've added since and retriggered at
https://github.com/apache/netbeans/actions/runs/4885237895
I've prepared a revert PR if need be before we move to build 18-rc3.

We'll need to decide what to do, and when to trigger 18-rc3 - would
still like to do that early next week as we've already delayed it. If
this gets reverted from 18-rc3 then we'll have to live without it in
NB18. Is it potentially too invasive a fix so late in the release
cycle anyway?

Also a chance to look through outstanding issues, particularly
anything with the milestone or reported against the RCs!
