display images with servlet mapping

Hi,

when I use servlet mapping in the web.xml file of my app directory,
images of my web page are sometimes not displayed ( but only sometimes
and depending whether I use netscape or IE ).

Does anybody knows where the problem comes from and how to solve it ?
