I reworked it and submitted a PR.
[~ab], you may be interested. I wonder if the computation of this ought to also go onto {{SegmentsInfoRequestHandler}}? These two request handlers overlap in purpose; they ought to each differentiate themselves in javadoc and have cross-link..
