[jira] Created: (TOMAHAWK-1063) MF 1.2.0 -- Compatibility issues with the combination MF1.2.0 & JSP & Tomahawk & Tomcat 6

MF 1.2.0 -- Compatibility issues with the combination MF1.2.0 & JSP & Tomahawk & Tomcat 6
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: TOMAHAWK-1063
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-1063
             Project: MyFaces Tomahawk
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 1.1.6
         Environment: Tomcat6- MF 1.2.0 Core - Tomahawk - JSP

            Reporter: Wolf Benz
             Fix For: 1.1.7-SNAPSHOT

Cf. user list: There are apparently issues with the combination "Compatibility issues with the combination JSP & Tomahawk & Tomcat 6".
Relevance: As most users will want to upgrade their old (--> also using JSP) webapps to the new standard, I think this is serious and hope it can be fixed by the .1 incremental release.

Werner Punz commented on TOMAHAWK-1063:
---------------------------------------

Actually there are two issues, one being an assembly bug, the jstl 1.2 and the standard.jar are not packed into the default download.

The other one is a dependency which is in tomahawk regarding commons-el 1.0

both bugs are covered in following issues:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-1059 (el dependency)
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-1686 (packaging issue)

Werner Punz commented on TOMAHAWK-1063:
---------------------------------------

Actually just to make the entire bugreport as complete as possible, there was another issue
which prevented apps to work, that one was causing an el error being reported by jasper,
once a value binding is set to a non el value (aka value="2" for instance)
the issue is fixed in the latest builds, however it is existent in the MyFaces 1.2.0 version.

So I will not file another issue for that since it seems to be fixed.

Werner Punz resolved TOMAHAWK-1063.
-----------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

I will resolve this now as it seems those are the only main bugs regarding tomcat...
and tomahawk and both of them are covered in more detail in the other bugreports.
Thanks Wolf for reporting it.
