Template

I am wondering if there is a way to setup a template when using PDFBox
to generate a report with java?

I'm not sure about PDFBox, but I think iReport[1] would suit your needs. 
Design the reports/forms/templates in iReport and then use the 
jasperreports library[2] to process them in your application.  Hope this 
helps.
