Dave Cottlehuber created INFRA-6303:
---------------------------------------

Summary: request ubuntu 12.04 LTS virtual machine for Apache CouchDB project
                 Key: INFRA-6303
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6303
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: VMWare
            Reporter: Dave Cottlehuber
            Priority: Minor

The requirements are as follows:

OS: Ubuntu x64 12.04 LTS
RAM: 1 GB memory
Disk: 50 GB
CPU average, multicore preferable but not required.

tcp ports: http, https, ssh, 5984, 6984.
udp ports: 60000 - 61000.

ssh keys: use those in ldap for following asf ids: wohali, kocolosk, dch.

One of couchdb's unique features are the ability to host an entire web application within couchdb itself, and to be able to replicate those apps, such as our admin user interface, directly from a couchdb instance. Today there is no trusted and secure site for doing this. This VM will provide trusted and secure replication endpoint under the apache banner.
