   Hi @gpaimla,
   the patch was just merged into upstream master and 8x branch. Thanks for the nice patch! 
   I forgot to add a message to automatically close the pull request when committing. Could you please close this for clean-up? (We already have many PRs that have been left by its author...)
   
   Let me explain a bit about our process: 
   Still it's not a regular process to directly merge pull requests from GitHub at Apache Lucene project, so I created a working branch for this on my local repository, then push it to the upstream repo. I changed the Author when committing, so your name has been credited in the commit log as follows.
   
   ```
