Does Xerces support DOM2 Range module?

implementation.hasFeature("Range", "2.0") returns false in DOM 2.0, but
Xerces does seem to have the necessary clases to implement this module?
Is there some reason this feature is false, or shoudl the report be
classified as a bug?

Yes, Xerces supports the Range module. It has for a long time actually,
and it's a bug that it used to report otherwise. I fixed that bug last
week though, so the latest release of Xerces2 doesn't have this problem.
