Problem in recording using Jmeter HTTP Proxy

Hi,
	I am trying to record the script as mentioned in
http://www.informit.com/guides/content.aspx?g=java&seqNum=270.
	I should have checked all the posted questions in forums bt
theres no way I can go on checking all the posts made since 4 years..
	please help me in solving my problem.

	Here are the steps that I am following for recording.
	1. Define a HTTP Proxy Server in Jmeter with Port number as
9900.
	2. Mention the same settings in IE/Mozilla and mention the Proxy
server name as "localhost".
	3. Right-click on Test plan (jmeter)->Add->Thread Group
		Right click on Thread Group->Add->Login
Controller->Recording Controller.
	4. Click on Start (for HTTP Proxy Server).

	No make requests for http://localhost:8080/servlets-examples/.
For this I"ve even installed Tomcat server in my system.

	Problem faced by me: If the proxy isn't started and the requests
are made then the links works fine but when I start the proxy through
Jmeter, pages aren't displayed.
	I am not sure where am I missing....

Please do reply me as I am struk here....can't move beyond this..
Thanks & Regards
Tapan Banerjee

In that case, the browser is not using the proxy setting. Check the
browser documentation.

What hppens if you try making requests to external servers?

I've sometimes had problems with browsers ignoring proxy settings for
local hosts.

Try recording the scenario with Bad Boy and export the test plan to
Jmeter. I hope it can help you.
