   It seems the devs of this repository don't have the time right now to address issues, **PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING A MAINTAINER!**
   
   There is clearly need to work on the API to bring it up to the state of latest cordova main and the other cordova platform developments.

   My pull request addresses all of these. Please consider merging!
