[jira] [Commented] (NUMBERS-69) Port "DerivativeStructure" from "Commons Math"

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NUMBERS-69?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17210365#comment-17210365 ]

Christoph Läubrich commented on NUMBERS-69:

[~erans] I wonder what needs to be done to port the DerivativeStructure? Is the any refactoring required or can the code simply be copied and packages renamed?
As discussed on the mailinglist I'm interested in adding support for erf/erfx to them and as you suggested this should happen on the commons-number instead of "old" math3, so I think this is currently blocking this.

I also like to know what the general procedure is, asf-git repos be "forked" or how is it supposed to work if one likes to contribute?

> As per [this discussion|http://markmail.org/message/zj5b7zxqb3y3md4g] on the "dev" ML, the "automatic differentiation" functionality could be ported from "Commons Math" to a new module in "Commons Numbers".
