In some situatons, two characters of an SSI-included file get dropped. It happens when the user-agent does a GET with HTTP/1.1
It seems to not happen with HTTP/1.0
I believe this is an apache bug. This error happens in httpd 2.0.42 and 2.0.43
it does not happen in 2.0.39 or 2.0.40 This server currently is running:
Apache/2.0.43 (Unix)
