The OSGi Alliance are working on an update to the OSGi blueprint spec. The details are available in an RFC on GitHub: https://github.com/osgi/design/tree/master/rfcs/rfc0184

As a popular blueprint implementation I think we should be getting out ahead of this and starting to work on things so that we can announce Blueprint 1.1 support as the spec goes final.
